Use Memorial Day to Walk Your Dog and Meet a Veteran!

Do you have off today? Have a little free time this evening? Well take the time to walk your dog around the neighborhood and say thanks to a veteran.

This Crazy Beagle is looking forward to being walked around the neighborhood this evening and potentially meeting some of our neighbors who are veterans. We have Navy Seals who live in our neighborhood (Was I suppose to say that. I hope I am still around tomorrow). Our next door neighbor is a veteran and presently enjoying his retirement traveling the country with his wife in their Winnebago Good for them!

Take the time to walk your dog and meet your neighbor and say thank you to any veterans you run into during your walk.

A Memorial Day Thank You From the Crazy Beagle!

dogblessusa01 207x300 A Memorial Day Thank You From the Crazy Beagle!Sonic the Crazy Beagle would be crazy not to show his appreciation and say thanks to all those who serve in the defense of our country and, in some cases, give the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy yesterday, today, and many more tomorrows.

The Crazy Beagle would also like to acknowledge the dogs who are put in harm’s way so that their soldier owners can safely do their jobs. While this dog sleeps, eats, and barks without a worry in the world, my canine friends are putting their lives on the line. Thank you!

The following is a way to continue to say thank you to those vets and dogs:

Dog Bless You, a community created by the founder of Explore.org in partnership with Iraq and Afghanistan War Veterans of America (IAVA). The campaign is donating service dogs to returning soldiers who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. Rather than ask for donations, Dog Bless You is asking for a show of support. Users can upload patriotic photos, videos and comments on their Facebook Page. For every 5,000 “Likes,” Dog Bless You will donate one dog, up to 100 dogs (worth roughly $500,000 in total).

So pull yourself from the BBQs and malls and take the time to say thank you on Memorial Day by going to Dog Bless You and pressing “Like.”

Have a happy, safe, and prosperous Memorial Day!

Happy Cinco De Mayo from The Crazy Beagle

Sombrero01 Happy Cinco De Mayo from The Crazy BeagleMay 5th is Cinco De Mayo day!  This holiday celebrates Mexico’s libration from the Napoleon led French troops.  It is a fun and happy time for Mexicans and others who join into the celebration.

With this celebration, lots of people will drink lots of beer.  However, please keep your pets and dogs safe during Cinco De Mayo.  Please keep the following dog safety tips in mind concerning your pet:

  • Please keep your pets away from the fireworks.  Please take your pets inside to keep them calm.
  • Do not feed your dogs and beagles beer.  Alcohol, consumed in quantity, can cause sickness or death to your dog.
  • Do not feed your dog the leftovers.  Spicy foods, while delicious for human, can make your pet sick.  Even the smallest amount of spices in your leftovers can cause your dogs, pets, and beagles to become sick.

The Crazy Beagle says to have fun, be safe, look out for your pets, and have a Happy Cinco De Mayo.

Bin Laden is Dead: The Crazy Beagle Thanks Those Involved

OsamaBinLadenDead05012011 165x300 Bin Laden is Dead: The Crazy Beagle Thanks Those Involved

Bin Laden is Dead

On May 1st, President Obama announced that Osama Bin Laden is dead.   I would like to give thanks to the brave, talented, Special Ops Navy Seals who put their lives on the line to protect the Crazy Beagle and the United States.  I would guess that many of the Navy SEALS were from the Hampton Roads area where I live.

The following is an interesting fact about the May 1st:  Hitler declared dead on May 1, 1945.  Mummmm?  Connect the dots.

Mission is  truly accomplished.  Congratulations Mr. President for taking the time for taking the time to truly think through the process needed to accomplish the mission to the intelligence community who gathered the valuable information, and finally the brave Navy SEALS who carried out the mission.
