It is day three. I am feeling faint. I don’t know how much longer I can survive. I am sure my fellow dogs and pets are experiencing the same pain.

What is it? The torture of being close to so much tasty food since Thanksgiving and not being able to eat any of it. Yams, potato salad, collard greens, turkey, ham, pumpkin pie and I can’t taste any of it. So close, yet so far away sitting on the table.  What torture!

I am saying to myself, Stay strong!” Maybe today will be my lucky day and someone, anyone, will drop some food. I can only hope.
