The National Census Needs to Make Every Dog Count!
The U.S. Dept. of Commerce asks that every person fill out the 2010 National Census form so that everyone is counted and can receive the necessary services in the correct areas. For example, when filling out the Census form, the government can predict what hospitals, police stations, highways, etc. a community might need.
Well, that’s fine for our owners, but what about us dogs? I think there should be a Census form for us beagles. That way the government will know if we need dog parks, pet spas, pet food stores, walking paths, etc.
Now there is an answer! Take the Mutt Census. Go to http://www.muttcensus.com/ and have fun filling out this census so that all of us dogs can benefit. Maybe I can get a pet spa next to my house. We beagles can dream, can’t we?

Today, March 23rd, is National Puppy Day. I don’t know who declared it, but it was declared so I am going to enjoy it. I am doing what I do best, sleep, and my owner just gave me a delicious meal with freshly cook chicken breast bits. Yum, Yum!
It was not only March Madness for us dogs in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, but it now tough for us dogs in the NIT Tournament. The Virginia Tech Hokies (Hokies are turkeys) just defeated the Connecticut Huskies, 64-63. Again, I say you can’t send a huskie to do a beagle’s work.
March Madness continues and it is another tough day for us dogs! The Syracuse Orangemen just whipped the Gonzaga Bulldogs 87-65. Another dog goes down in defeat. It just goes to show that you don’t send a bulldog to do a beagle’s job.
