Barack Obama is close to choosing a family dog. Sources state that the choice is between a Labradoodle and a Portuguese water hound. Good choices, but Sonic the Crazy Beagle would have been a better choice.

Not that I would want to leave my present cushy location, but the White House? It’s no comparison. Here are ten reasons Barack Obama and family should choose me:

1. I sleep a lot and wouldn’t get in the way
2. Did I say I sleep a lot and wouldn’t get in the way?
3. I would bark like crazy when Bill Clinton tries to sneak back into the White House fridge
4. I would keep Hillary Clinton away from the red phone at 3 a.m. in the morning
5. I can make sure George Bush doesn’t leave any beer cans behind when he leaves
6. I would bark every time Barack tries to smoke in the White House
7. I am cool yet strong like Barack
8. I am fun to play with
9. I am entertaining
10. I can be trained to stand on my back two legs (or whatever else you would like) every time I hear “Yes We Can!”

So Barack and family, don’t make the choice without considering Sonic the Crazy Beagle. I leave it in your capable hands.

The Crazy Beagle just recovered from a partying New Year’s party.  As you can see, I still have a bit of a hangover.  I am looking to have one dog of a year in 2009!

I hope that the holidays brought all the good things you deserve.

As you can see from the pictures, the Crazy Beagle is in doggie heaven.  I received just what I wanted.  I received a puzzle with by my hero…Scooby Doo, the game “Fact or Crap (perfect, since I do a lot of that), and Mastermind so that I can take over control from my owner (they don’t know it yet).
