There are special considerations when adopting a dog.  I bet you never thought of adopting a dog based on your personality.  Well, that is a major factor when adopting a dog.  I guess this means that since I am a Crazy Beagle, my dog parents must have a crazy personality.

National Dog Day!  Ten Ways to Celebrate Man’s Best Friend

National Dog Day, dog holidays, pet, pets, dog, dogs, sonic, sonic the crazy beagleNational Dog Day is August 26 through the 28th.  It is a celebration of our pets and our love for them.  Well, how do we celebrate our dog on this very special day?  Here are ten things you can do to celebrate National Dog Day:

  1. Take Your Dog Out for Exercise – Take them out to play catch or just for a walk.  It will do both of you so good.
  2. Take Your Out to the Beach – Another great form of exercise and you can sneak in a bath also.
  3. Teach Your Dog a New Trick – Who says you can teach an old dog new tricks?
  4. Give Your Dog a Message – Give your dog a full body message.  Dogs especially love being rubbed behind the ear.  It is their form of a drug for your dog.
  5. Paint/Draw a Portrait of Your Dog – Work on your painting or drawing skills and do a portrait of your dog.  It doesn’t need to be perfect.  It is the time you spend with your dog that counts.
  6. Walk the Dog of a Sick or Elderly Neighbor – Make a difference and help your sick or elderly neighbor by walking their dog.  Believe me; both the neighbor and the dog with appreciate it.
  7. Take Pictures of Your Dog – With a camera on most smartphones, it is extremely easy to take pictures of your dogs, especially those action shots.
  8. Give Your Dog a Treat – Go to the supermarket or pet store and buy them dog treats, National Dog Day, dog holidays, pet, pets, dog, dogs, sonic, sonic the crazy beaglea special treat for the day!
  9. Adopt a Dog – Go to your local animal shelter and adopt a dog.  Dogs are left homeless at a natural disaster so go after the disaster and make a difference.
  10. Give Your Dog a Bath – Give your dog a bath so that they small fresh and have that fresh dog look.
